More Details

The Congregation of Albertine Sisters Serving the Poor (Congregatio Sororum Albertinarum Pauperibus Inservientium (CSAPI)) or simply known as the Albertine Sisters; are Sisters of the Third Order Regular of Saint Francis.

Are you seeking a vocation that is rooted in community, compassion, and service to the most vulnerable? Consider the Albertine Sisters, a devoted congregation of the Third Order Regular of Saint Francis, whose mission is to serve the poor with love and dedication.

The Albertine Sisters, formally known as the Congregation of Albertine Sisters Serving the Poor (CSAPI), embrace the teachings of Saint Brother Albert Chmielowski, who abandoned a promising career as a painter to live among the beggars and serve the most marginalized in society. Following in his footsteps, the Albertine Sisters consecrate themselves to a life of poverty, chastity, and obedience, finding joy and fulfillment in serving those in need.

Central to the religious vocation of an Albertine sister is the sense of community. Upon taking perpetual vows, a sister becomes a full member of the Albertine family, sharing in the responsibilities and blessings of fraternity. This communal life is marked by evangelical love, participation in liturgy, communal prayer, and a commitment to fulfilling the Albertine mission of serving the poorest and most miserable.

The Albertine Sisters create an atmosphere of peace, unity, kindness, and amiability within their communities, fostering a sense of belonging and support for each member. They share both spiritual and material goods, embodying the spirit of solidarity and compassion that is at the heart of their congregation.

Contact our Discernment Office, led by Sr. Patrycja Bryniarska, to learn more about our community, our mission, and how you can become part of our journey.
