The Brothers of Christian Instruction is a teaching order of Brothers. Founded in France in 1819 by Gabriele Deshayes and Jean-Marie de la Mennais, FIC now has communities in 25 countries throughout the world.

The Brothers of Christian Instruction, also known as the de la Mennais Brothers, are dedicated to making Jesus Christ better known and loved through education and instruction. Based in Alfred, Maine, they focus on primary and secondary education, operate Walsh University, and engage in social outreach, including York County Shelter Programs and work with York County Jail.
