Sisters of the Precious Blood

About Us

Since 1834 the Sisters of the Precious Blood have met the needs of the time. Inspired by our foundress, Maria Anna Brunner, and “that not one drop of his Precious Blood be shed in vain,” we try to see where the need is great and to respond. Mother Brunner spent nights praying before the Blessed Sacrament and during the day helped the poor and the needy where she lived. Eucharist is a very important part of who we are and how we live. At each Mass we are sent forth to “announce the Gospel of the Lord” or to “glorify the Lord by your life.”
